The Sequential Structure I & II
This teaching project explores potentials of additive digital fabrication of structural frameworks in wood. Standard wooden slat cut to individual sizes are being placed and glued by a robotic fabrication unit. The project aims on developing a spatial parametric structural framework made of wooden slats. The design of the framework defines spatial qualities and light conditions in its interior space. This leads to locally differentiated systems, taking into account structural requirements as well as spatial and formal aspects of the design.
